Situated in the heart of the Acadian Peninsula, Tracadie-Sheila is surrounded by two rivers neighboring the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. This makes it an ideal spot for water activities, of course, but you will also find here nature trails both for walking and cycling. The beach is only a few minutes away, at the Val-Comeau Provincial Park.

Dynamic, energetic and welcoming, Tracadie-Sheila has everything to keep you entertained: a cinema, many restaurants and a lively nightlife. A must-see is the historical museum of Tracadie-Sheila, centered around the story of the city’s leper hospital that closed in 1965.

Every summer, downtown Tracadie-Sheila awakens to the sight and sounds of the Ruée de Tracadie-Sheila, a joyous festival of various arts, culminating in a firework display at night. And don’t miss the open air musical multimedia show Tracadie Story in front of the Académie Sainte-Famille.
