A Culture that loves to Celebrate

2

Welcoming and friendly, Acadians are a proud people who have maintained their Acadian traditions and heritage. They are very resilient people, as they are characterized in the television series Belle-Baie (translates as beautiful bay), or musicals like Louis Mailloux or Tracadie Story.

This willingness to stay alive and fight against assimilation may explain why Acadians love to celebrate and to get together, for instance at the Tintamarre on August 15 during the Festival acadien de Caraquet (Caraquet Acadian Festival).
