More about Musée Acadien de Caraquet (Acadian Museum)

Come and discover the history and culture of the people of the Acadian Peninsula with the rich collection of various artifacts and documents from the Acadian Museum. Each year, the museum offers a new exhibition that will appeal to all. A real trip back in time to the very heart of Acadia!

The Musée acadien de Caraquet will begin its season on June 13. New this year is an exhibit on "Le Bocage, lieu de dévotion de pèlerinage", thanks to a grant from the New Brunswick government. For nearly 60 years, the museum has been showcasing the history and heritage of the Acadian Peninsula through a permanent exhibit and several thematic exhibits. Last year, the museum renewed its website which can be visited online at: https://www.museecaraquet.ca/

The new feature will be the Sainte-Anne-du-Bocage Shrine located in Caraquet. The Bocage chapel is a very popular place of devotion and pilgrimage, especially during the novena in preparation for the feast of Saint Anne from July 17 to 26.
